The Saturday Farmers Market (in addition to offering world-class produce across the street in the historic Ferry Building) showcases a wide variety of local artists and craftspeople in a beautiful setting at the foot of San Francisco's financial district. Heise Metal Sculpture exhibits most Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm, weather permitting. Wildwood Farm, best known for its exotic Japanese maple trees, is also home to a unique outdoor sculpture garden adjacent to its nursery. As featured in Sunset Magazine, Wildwood Farm has "...more than 100 pieces representing twenty emerging and established California artists. The sculptures, of ceramic, steel, coated resin, and other weather-resistant materials, range from shorter than thirty inches to taller than sixteen feet. The creative home of the west coast annex of Heise Metal Sculpture is located in the renowned Melting Point Studios. Visitors are always welcome to view the sculptures or observe the creation of a piece. Please call ahead (415/87-METAL) or emailchad@heisesculpture.comfor an appointment.
